Film photography and old friends

My dear Utterz friends!
So sorry I have been absent for quite some time. I have been getting reacquainted with my Konica Autoreflex TC film camera. It has been a memorable time, to tsay the least. My addiction for film is back, and even more than ever. Especially since everything I do at work is digital, it’s nice to escape from that and get back to the foundational elements of the art of photography.

I invite you all to go check out my Flickr page. The link above should take you to my Film set of images. This is a hand picked set from 4-recent rolls of film.

I have been using my 50mm f1.7 lens, and these rolls were iso800.

I know in here, it’s all about sharing and being a part of each others lives. Well, I think it’s important for us to find things that move us. Photography, especially with this camera, has changed my life and how I look at things. I know that sounds cliche, but it’s true. I was given this camera and a small collection of lenses nearly 20-years ago. Once I got into I fell in love with it. I took a break, unintentionally, from the camera for almost 10-years. So, coming back to it is amazing. That was around the same time I started to teach myself guitar, which has also been an instrumental change (pun intended) in my life.

In addition, I have just recently reconnected with one of my absolute best friends from high school. It has been 10-years since we talked and it’s amazing all of the memories and realizing we never forgot about each other; it has just been life doing it’s thing, taking us in different directions for a while, but bringing us back is a joyous time, to say the least.

Be happy!

So, this was an amazing day! Working wth Larry DiMarzio shooting Joe Satriani and then a special appearance by John 5, it was great! We captured a combined 8 hours of video and over 400 stills to capture this photo shoot.

We will be working to turn this one around pretty quick. I will be sure to post a link to the videos when they are up.

Hope you enjoyed the pics from my camera!

Cheers!
